Where did summer go?

Blimey, the time has zoomed past.
I finished a couple of commisions in july.
the allotment painting and this painting called a moments peace.
I enjoyed painting both of them and hopefully the people liked them.- they said they did.

I'll bet they meant what they said, and loved these paintings. I of course, love the allotment study. Gorgeous.

Always fascinated by the light that pours in, energising the stillness of a room, the contrast of outside and inside, dark and light, Annabel Mednick explores the drama of the quiet moment.

In between the big events of life – birth, death etc – people are living normal lives, her work is a celebration of that.

The square format and the absence of a frame add a contemporary twist to a timeless subject. In her interiors, the stones of the building have been there for centuries, while the people are transient; the light from the outside world comes in and moves around them, linking them to the past, the future and everyone else.
